Samantha Barrette

Samantha Barrette is a 25 year old from Belle River. In her spare time she enjoys many forms of creative art, the gym, and self improvement. She is currently an apprentice with the local 494 for carpentry and drywall. She hopes to obtain her red seal and one day become a woodshop teacher. Back when she took woodshop in high school, her teacher created this safe and peaceful environment that she’d love to one day provide for students. She started volunteering at the age of 14 for several different organizations however, with cancer running on both sides of her family and losing her aunt to the battle, Windsor Cancer Foundation is the organization that tugs on her heart strings the most. She has a passion for helping those in need and bringing a smile to people’s faces.

Though she has a couple years of experience in modeling, this is her very first pageant and she is very grateful for the experience thus far. She believes that growth doesn’t happen in your comfort zone and has graciously accepted the challenges and lessons this pageant has brought. Modeling has opened up some opportunities to be a role model to those who are willing to listen, although it is justifiable to want to broaden that audience and really make a difference.
As a woman in the trades who also dedicates a lot of time at the gym, she hopes to inspire women and little girls that strength is beauty regardless of if she were to win the title of Miss Lasalle 2024. In addition to this goal, she wishes to be a beacon of positivity for the community.
